Donovan and Kitt tied the knot last weekend at North Dayton Baptist Church–in fact, they were the first couple to be married at the church since it was renovated and reopened following a fire in 2009. I photographed this wedding together with my dear friend Kassie, who also happens to be Donovan’s sister, so that we could ensure no moments were missed while she attended to her sister-of-the-groom duties. And I was so glad to be a part of the day, because any couple that makes their day their own, that isn’t afraid to express their individuality–that is a couple for me! :)

We didn’t have any time at all scheduled in the day for portraits, but while Kassie was gathering everyone for family photos I was able to sneak the couple outside for just a few minutes!
