One of the best parts about photographing weddings is seeing how days that, on the surface, tend to be made up of similar elements & traditions end up reflecting the couple being married. Sometimes the whole day is quiet, contemplative, spiritual. Sometimes they are full of heart-in-the-throat emotion and uncontrollable happy tears. And sometimes, like at West & Leah’s wedding at the Temple Theater in Saginaw, MI, it is so full of so much joy and laughter and jokes between good friends that it would be impossible to get the silly smile off your face, even if you wanted to. (West & Zack actually knew each other in high school, and we were so lucky to run into them one day and reconnect not too long after their engagement.)
